I am not going to regurgitate the feed my head has been in the trough all week to choke down. Bocce got canceled due to thunder and lightning. I was just out watering, illegally, maybe. I felt a large rain drop hit me. I kept watering anyway. I picked my first tomatoes of the season this week. Best crop on the vine since we moved back from the left coast to Jersey. Could be I got my tomato-mojo back, finally.
The weather has been good enough to sit outside in the morning without withering or choking on whatever was burning in Canada. Now it’s just our normal pollen and particulates causing eyes to water and clogging sinuses. Not a single golf ball got near us which is typical for this time of year. The duffers are all as practiced as they are going to get. It has been a record year for stray balls here. Nine so far that I have myself recovered. That’s nearly twice last year’s yield.
The Saturday grocery shopping is done, and despite dark skies, and that one fat rain drop, it looks like we are not going to get a downpour. I had enough of the feed before heading to pay almost twice what we paid just two years ago for more or less the same stuff. Aldi’s, where I do half of my food shopping, was as deserted as I have ever seen it at just past one pm on a Saturday. Even Shoprite was less crowded and more expensive than usual.
I feel weary. I refuse to worry, or wallow in the messaging. The tomatoes are ripening. The fairway is green. The groceries are in. This agency is as ready as its going to be for the week ahead, with or without Bocce.
Good vibrations via those prankster photons to all of you paying attention.

the cost of groceries will sink the gop - more than all the evidence of their moral depravity.
distracted tonight, forgive me Andrew. that photo is incredible.
