There are myths, legends, and then there were actual events. Do I need to list them? Paper clips are tools with multiple applications. Do I need to list them? Hat pins played a role in the suffrage movement. Woodrow Wilson was imported to Princeton before becoming POTUS. Vainglorious is what I remember most about historians’ descriptions of Wilson. Vainglorius and hat pins. I am forgetting my lessons. And then there was this in the incoming:

The line forms when fear is applied professionally. Right or left? Does not mean a damn thing. Ask the Clintons. Ask Schumer. Ask anyone who knows anything from New Jersey.

Woodrow Wilson believed in the Anglo-American version of things. Many in New Jersey had other ideas. Being number two was not our idea of freedom and justice for all, but Wilson “signed on”, as many had before and would after him.
As a historian, I understand beliefs, and I understand motivation. The Rolling Stone V predated the band, was built in Germany, and sailed via England, Spain, and Bermuda, to New Jersey, eventually, in the early 1960s. The Rolling Stone V that arrived in Monmouth County is a bit of Cold War History that the Monmouth County Historical society might not bother to consider as worthy as Bruce Springsteen. I don’t blame them. In fact, I agree with Bruce Springsteen’s politics more than I do any of the ignorant fascists running the county we are both from. Both Bruce and I were influenced by the Stones, and the billions of MIC dollars that shaped our psyches.
I am a stranger in my hometown of Rumson. I went to school with the Stone children. Pete and Jeff Stone both died tragically, young, and Navy veterans. I studied broadcasting, theatre, and karate, where the Bruce Springsteen archives are managed privately, as part of Monmouth University.
Like Lindsey, I got what I needed.
#2 America too, will get what it deserves. The lords and ladies on both sides of the pond will look the other way, they will take casualties. The Germans will keep building amazing things, so will the Ukrainians. Call these guesses educated. My credentials are not honorary. I am not a prophet, boss, or politician. I am just a New Jerseyan, operating this agency of one here in the pinelands.
