Blue Bird Spotted
Facts Continue to be Reported
I read a White House spokesmen put down Bruce Springsteen today. I am in for the duration, listening, following the feed, walking to the gym, birdwatching, and now writing. I had to go back to this morning’s notes to wrap my damaged brain around this one:
“Naturally, the White House greeted the news of Springsteen’s tour in equally robust fashion. “When this loser Springsteen comes back home to his own City of Ruins in his head, he’ll realize his Glory Days are behind him and his fans have left him Out in the Street, putting him in a Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out because he has a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome that has rotted his brain,” White House comms director Steven Cheung said in a statement to Playbook.”

I do not know Steven Cheung from Adam. I checked for his bio, and yes, he is a loser. And yes, we, the American people pay Cheung 180,000-200,000 dollars a year to attack New Jersey’s most famous living recording artist. Which is a lot of cash to pay a hack who did not finish college, don’t you think? I responded in notes, this morning, if you care to see my comment you can find my home page, click on notes, and scroll down until you find it.
I live on a former strip mine in the Pinelands that Ed Lane, Stavola’s land man, ramrodded into a senior community in the mid 1990’s. A fact that was unknown to me when I was doing Ed’s son’s headshots as he was finishing his master’s at Rutger’s Mason Gross School of the Arts, the very same one that James Gandolfini graduated from.
Steven Cheung might not know Stavola from Adam, Clayton, Allen or any of the old New Jersey Names, few of which have been around longer than Springsteen. According to my siblings, the only one of this group that I am related to is the last one. My hometown was not Freehold, it was Rumson, the same town where Bruce raised his own children.
I saw a bluebird on my way home from the gym. We never had them when we lived closer to the ocean on the northeast side of the Manasquan River. It was an unexpected pleasure to discover them on this former strip mine, and always a mood-elevator to see one.

We are bottom feeding.
